The Tree of Life
In "The Tree of Life," Emi wakes up to find a barren land where the forests and natural habitat are in peril. There is only one tree that still stands and it is the only thing helping to sustain life. Emi and Zier along with all of the animals collaborate to protect The Tree of Life from an army of dysfunctional robots. During their quest, they meet a mysterious man called the Seed Keeper. Will he be able to assist them in restoring the land and bring new hope to Mother Nature?
“The Tree of Life” asks children to reflect on the relationship between humans and nature. The animal and plant kingdoms are good friends to human beings and the earth is a perfect and intricate system that provides sustenance. The story alludes to a question raised by the rapid development of modern society: are these high-tech tools invented by human beings friendly or harmful to nature? How can we better apply our sciences to more sustainable means? By reading this book, children can better understand the importance of nature to human beings and reflect how their daily lives can impact our environment.
